An interview is a conversation asking meaningful questions to a person in order to find out about his/her opinions, lifestyle, way of thinking, etc. Work individually.You need paper, cardboard, markers and a pencil. 2. Think of a person you know and admire. 3. Interview that person about his/her daily routine.Take notes. What do you do on Monday? What time do you wake up? I do many things. I wake up at 7:00 every day. 4. Prepare a poster showing a timetable with a typical day in that person’s life. Does your poster show the interview answers? c. When you present your poster, do you speak clearly? 57 Souvenir! Students need pencil and paper for the interview and cardboard and markers for the poster. (If possible, tell students they should collect photographs or draw some pictures of the person they interview.) Warm-Up: Review the interview presented in lesson 1, exercise 3. Review this section as a class. Discuss the importance of communicating clearly , especially during an interview. Discuss the questions provided. Ask students for other examples of situations in which clear communication is essential (to solve a problem, to clarify concepts, to explain a process, etc.) 1. to 4. How-To: Have students work individually. First, have them think of a person they know and admire. It can be a member of their family, a friend, or an acquaintance. ∙ Explain that they are going to interview this person about his/her daily routine. ∙ Go over the example provided and have them write down similar questions (no more than 6 to 8). ∙ Give students the time to get together with the person they chose and interview him/her. ∙ Then, in class, have students prepare a poster showing a timetable of a typical day in the person’s life. They should include drawings or photos.
