Warm-Up: Ask students if they are from different countries ( Are you from the United States? Are you from France? Are you from Canada?). Encourage students to reply correctly ( No, I’m not) , but when you notice they are answering automatically, use the correct country so they stop and think. Explain that there are approximately 193 countries, and that every country usually has an official language.
